Pepper Jack Cheese
We were supposed to have a "un-refried" beans with salad tonight. But it just wasn't appealing to me today. So I swapped that for tomorrow's planned meal, bison burgers! I stopped on the way home to get some fries. I had originally planned on turnip fries but our CSA did not include turnips as expected. Since it was late, I opted for some frozen fries as a treat. I found these Alexa Spicy Sweet Potato Fries and some of the regular fries as well. Once home, we couldn't decide which ones to have so John cooked some of each. I had mostly the sweet potato fries and he had the regular fries.
The bison burgers came together easily. I used: - 1 pound ground bison - 1 egg - About 1/4 rolled oats - 3 shakes hot sauce I mixed everything up with my hands and formed four patties. Then grilled them on our Cuisinart Griddler. I served them on ezekial rolls with sliced pepper jack cheese. I got the cheese for free from Wegman's. It is pretty good with a nice spicy flavor to it. I also picked up some of the Stonyfield Farm Minty Chocolate Chip FroYo. I have been trying to find this flavor for a while now. For some reason, the stores I'm at usually don't carry it. I was happy to spy it today. I'm off to share some with John now. related searches : Pepper
