Perfect Pavlova!!!

I am having my weekly ?Dinner Movie Party? tonight with my good friends. I decided to make this classic dessert known for having its name after a Russian Ballerina ?Anna Pavlova?. This dessert is a light puffed meringue shell filled with fresh fruit and topped with whipped cream. My friends are inn for a good surprise with they dig into this delightful treat! Bon appetite!!!












Recipe for Pavlova-

Pre heat oven to 350 then turn down to 250

6 egg whites
¼ tsp cream of tartar
1 ½ cups of sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp lemon juice
1 ½ tsp corn starch

Topping-

Whipped cream
Fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
Confectioner?s sugar


Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff. Gradually add sugar mix until very stiff and shiny add in vanilla and cornstarch. (Mix corn starch with vanilla extract and lemon juice before adding into the meringue).

Cover baking sheet with parchment paper. Trace a 9-inch circle then turn paper around and lay flat on sheet. Spray with non-stick spray. You can either pile meringue onto traced circle and or use a pastry piping bag with a preferred tip.

Bake meringues for 20 minute then reduce heat to 200 and bake for another hour. Turn off oven. Leave meringue in oven for at least 2 hours.
