Product Review: Al Dente Garlic Parsley Fettuccine

By Katie's Cucina (Visit website)

I feel the need to start sharing with my readers some of the products that I find and use that may be off the every day path. For the most part I am a frugal shopper; however, there are a few things that I don't mind spending money on... like gourmet foods that you don't find every day!

I found this pasta a few years ago when I was browsing the shelves of World Market. Although it retailed close to $5 I knew there had to be something special about this pasta. I reluctantly bought the pasta, and cooked it that following evening. After taking my first bite I instantly knew why this amazing pasta cost so much--it  is packed with flavor and cooks in only 3 minutes! This pairs well with any sauce  you cook it with, and even tastes just as good with just a little olive oil drizzled on top of it!  I don't make this pasta that often for multiple reasons: 1) it's expensive 2) it's special and I want to keep it that way--if I made it once a week then we would get bored with it, but since I save it for "special" meals it always makes for a nice dinner treat!

The World Market closest to my house recently closed, and I was sad knowing that I wouldn't be able to purchase this amazing pasta as often. After a little internet research I found that I can purchase 6 bags of this pasta on Amazon for only $16.13!!!! What an amazing deal. That means that this once $5 per bag pasta now comes out to be a little over $2.50 a bag, and if you can find something else you need on Amazon.com and get your cart total to reach over $25 you will receive free super saver shipping! I guess I know what I will be purchasing within the next week... a half case of this amazing pasta!!!

This pasta also comes in a variety of flavors such as; spinach, red-chili pepper, squid ink, basil, lemon chive, three peppercorn, etcetera. I've tried the spinach, red-chili pepper, and basil pasta's and all are equally as delicious!

If you have a World Market located close to you, stop by and purchase a package of this pasta--if not then I highly suggest you order a case of this pasta, and of course if you happen to find this pasta somewhere else other than World Market and Amazon.com please let me know!

I promise you won't be disappointed!
