Product Review: Melitta Coffees
![]() Melitta Parisian Vanilla & Classique Supreme Coffees w/brewer & mug photo by Ken McDougal Photography Hey ya'll (Paula Deen) haa haa!! I know...it's been awhile huh? How is it possible for an avid food blogger like myself to lose inspiration for writing? I really don't know but for me it happens. I know of other foodies that blog daily with no problem but for me I seem to go in and out. It doesn't mean though that my love for food; whether it is writing a recipe or reviewing a product has diminished, on the contrary - it's just as strong as ever. I think that sometimes I just get plain ol tired...but I never forget about ORMG and I oftentimes feel guilty that I'm neglecting it. But with all that said, I've been wanting for awhile to write more product reviews. Don't worry, I'm still going to cook and share dishes, but I wanted to dab a bit into trying out products and writing recommendations. So, I talked to my good pal, Amanda, and one of the companies she hipped me to was Melitta USA. They specialize in coffee products and hubby is a HUGE coffee drinker so I was very excited about contacting them to ask if I could sample some of their coffees and write about them. I wrote my letter and sent it but to be honest I wasn't sure I'd get a response. To my amazement, Shannon Burton, who is their Account Executive out of New York, wrote me write away and agreed to send me samples. She even asked me which ones I'd like to try. I was so happy! She was very nice and obliging, I really like personable people. Well, I told her I'd love to sample the Parisian Vanilla flavor. I've always liked Vanilla and French Vanilla coffees and I knew hubby wouldn't have a preference, because he just loves coffee. Well, this Friday my package arrived. She sent me Vanilla and Classique Supreme, but also she sent me a brewer, some filters, and a cute black mug. I could hardly open the package - it was so nice looking! Quickly, I got hubby to take the pictures and he opened up the box and made the first cup of coffee, he sipped on it even before I go to taste it! haa haaa! I guess that's the luxury of being the photographer! Oh well!!! :D ![]() Melitta Vanilla & Classique Supreme Coffees from the Café Collection He made me a cup of the Vanilla first and the aroma filled the kitchen. It tasted so rich and good. We tasted the Classique Supreme next and he really liked the taste of it more, because he's not a big flavor type of guy the way I am so he confiscated the Classique and I took the Vanilla! I got the mug too! hee hee! And, as I was sitting in front of my computer thinking of what to write for this post, my mug was in my left hand. Sipping on it gave me just the right boost of energy I needed. I'm looking forward to starting my days off with a cup of coffee and I highly recommend you visit their website and try their products for yourself. They have an entire line of flavors, coffee makers, even recipes cause you serious bakers out there know how well coffee is in desserts especially making melted chocolate which gives me some ideas - you know how much I love chocolate! And if you want to know more about brewing, they have some healthful tips and a glossary. Now just in case you've never heard of Melitta (because before a few weeks I hadn't heard of them myself), here's a little background knowledge for you: They're headquartered in Clearwater, Florida and part of the privately held Melitta Group of Minden, Germany. Their coffee roastery is located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and they've been roasting coffee there for more than 40 years. Their filters are also manufactured in Clearwater, not too far from where hubby and I live. Another thing I like is their Melitta DirectTM Coffee Club. You sign up for their membership, order your coffee or coffee making products, and they deliver them to your home or office. Very cool! You must visit their website, which incidentally to me looks like a coffee house, sooo cute! Just go to www.melitta.com. A BIG THANK YOU to Shannon for being so sweet! Do let me know if you've ever tried their coffees or if you do, because I'd love to know! :D related searches : Product
