Project Plant

By Frosted Rosepetals (Visit website)

Since i was about 9yrs old, i've wanted my own greenhouse so i could grow my own herbs. My fascination with herbs started when i was stung by a stinging nettle and i was told that dock leaves usually grow next to them and they sooth the sting. A M A Z I N G! I thought!
Fast forward some years, i'm in a bookshop and i see a book on how to make your own beauty products using natural ingredients, and HERBS!
This is all something i thought was too difficult. I've not had very good luck with plants. They have always died. I think i bought a basil plant once and that didn't turn out so well either...
I don't know how i got started on this next endeavour, but all of a sudden i've gotten really into wanting to grow my own vegetables and herbs. RANDOM.  So after searching on the internet and reading LOADS and buying two books about container gardening, i finally decided on the herbs i want...
Well anyway, i went out to home depot and i bought what i wanted and transplanted them to pots with a potting mix. Thank goodness for JIM in the plant nursery that helped me out!:
Sage & Oregano
Mint & Lemon Balm
I also bought a
TOMATO PLANT!
I bought these about 5 days ago, and i've been checking them everyday. Today i went to check on the tomato  plant and i found 2 tiny little bulbs of the start of a tomato!  I thought that i might not get anything as autumn is here and from what i read, they're usually all ripened by now...So i suppose ill have to wait and see! But i think its incredibly cool.

I found another 'bud' this afternoon!
I shall keep you posted
