Quick Cinnamon Bread

Quick Cinnamon Bread





This would be great for kids to make or just as a really decadent treat for adults.



INGREDIENTS

frozen white bread dough

about 1/4 c sugar (adjust to taste)

cinnamon

1/2 stick butter (could probably use 1/4)

course sugar



DIRECTIONS

Thaw the dough according to package directions, but do not rise. Place dough on a floured surface and roll it out, focusing on the short length. It's not very agreeable to being rolled out, so you will have to flip it over repeatedly as you roll. Get it about the width of your bread pan.



Sprinkle dough with enough cinnamon to cover and with sugar.



Slice butter into roughly 1/8 inch slices, and place butter pats spread out over the dough.



Slowly roll the dough up longways, making sure that the butter stays in place.



Transfer dough into greased bread pan, seam side down, and allow to rise, then sprinkle it with course sugar. Finally, pop it into the oven (follow package directions for rising and baking).



Determine doneness based more on appearance?because of the filling, tapping on it and judging by the sound is not accurate. Let cool for a few minutes, then enjoy!






You may need  to run a knife along the inside to release the bread. Let cool for a few minutes, then enjoy!
