Ramadhan Bazaar, Bangsar

By Pillow Talk with Bangsar-bAbE (Visit website)

Colourful jellies & kuihs

The Ramadhan Bazaar in Bangsar used to be a lot bigger. That was five years ago. This year, I found the selection very limited, and there were a lot of repetition -- different stalls selling the same thing.
Grilled fish

Din Murtabak

Din Murtabak had one of the longest lines at the bazaar. Back then, a piece cost RM2. Today, be prepared to part with RM3 for a smaller murtabak. Tastewise, I didn't think it was that great. Decent, yes. Awesome, no.
Nasi Beriani Gam Johor

Popiah Basah

I'm not a fan of the popiah basah; the chilli is too sweet for my liking. The kuih selections were disappointing. A lot of items did not look good, and they've increased the price from 3 for RM1 to 3 for RM1.20.

Ayam Percik

Pasembor

Pasembor is something I tend to order at Ramadhan bazaars. This tasted alright, but I hate how stingy they are with the peanut sauce.
Roast Lamb

Overall, I wasn't impressed with the variety of food available at the bazaar this year. According to my sister, the TTDI bazaar is much bigger with more interesting things.
