Random Goodies

By For the Love of Food (Visit website)

Hello : )

Happy belated Halloween! Hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
(Warning: this isn't exactly a food post.) I've had quite a productive weekend. I spend Friday and Saturday visiting with some amazing people in New Jersey. We had dinner in a Mexican restaurant called Yo & Papa in Morristown on Friday. Despite the horrible reviews I just came across online, I really enjoyed it. It was really nicely decorated and they have two live guitar players. I instantly thought that if this place was in the city it'd be packed out and twice as expensive. We started with a Brie and mango quesadilla, which was amazing! I'd never think to combine those two ingredients but boy, was it yummy! Sorry no picture : /
Then I had the taco salad with grilled chicken.
Even though this picture does it no justice, it was delicious. It consisted of black beans, shredded cheese, chicken and guacamole on a bed of Romaine, all served in a taco shell (which I also nibbled on, of course.) It was a good dinner.

Now, this little angel's name is Dasha (yes, Sasha-Dasha, irony insues.) She's now 11-years-old, in human years, and I've had her for over 10 of those years. She's an Odessa native just like myself. I brought her with me, plane ticket and everything. Her favorite food is turkey...she enjoys long walks on the beach...just kidding. Anyway, I love her dearly and I thought it was about time I introduce her to the blogosphere.

^ This is just a picture I like. I found it on Dustjacket Attic. Cute, huh?

And this is Andrew Bird, a very talented musician. I love his music.

Thank you for visiting!
