Reading Repeats

By Bran Appetit (Visit website)

Thank goodness Wednesday is halfway gone ? I keep forgetting that we?re leaving for San Fran for the Foodbuzz Festival in 2 days!!!

I?m so excited for the trip, but still very anxious/nervous about cooking in front of hundreds of foodies! How did I get myself into this? :)

Lunch today isn?t super exciting, but it is still good.

I brought more of the ham/bean soup and lots of celery + hummus.

This soup is so filling and good to have on crisp, fall days.

I?m almost done reading Julie & Julia! I?m hoping to finish it tonight or tomorrow because I have some new books I?m taking with me on the trip this weekend.

And I?m not sure why I was thinking about this, but do you read some books over and over again?

I haven?t done it in a while, but I remember reading books repeatedly when I was younger. I just loved them so much that I would finish the book and just start it again the next day, even though I knew everything that happened.

I remember reading 7 books in one day during one summer! Can you say nerd alert? I had nothing else to do and I was just getting addicted to those Goosebumps books ? do you remember those? Not a good idea to read 7 in one day. I had bad dreams that night of dolls coming alive and masks that took control over people.

Maybe that addiction is why I ended up an English major? I have to say, I am a bit sad that I?m not doing anything with my education and my love for reading. I guess I never thought I would because my dream job is to just READ all day. Find a good book, a comfy place to sit, and get lost for a few hours. I did fall in love with syntax in college, but there aren?t many jobs using that, either.

I love reading a good book. I love getting lost in the story, getting attached to the characters, and truly being sad when I finish the last sentence.

Some of the books I remember reading over and over again were

Mandy by Julie Andrews
Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne
ALL of the Babysitter Club/Babysitter?s Little Sister books
All of the Sweet Valley High books I owned

What about you? Do you re-read books?
