Corn Sundal: Ingredients: Corn - 1 cup Coconut - 1/2 cup (grated) Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp Salt to taste Method: 1) Heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, After spluttering, add the corn and grated coconut and saute for 2 minutes. 2) Now add salt and pepper powder to it. Saute for another 5 minutes in simmer. Serve hot. Vegetable chops: Ingredients: Beans - 1 cup (chopped) Carrot - 1 cup (chopped) Onion - 1 cup (chopped) Peas - 1/2 cup Potato - 1 cup (cooked and mashed) Corn flour - 1/2 cup Maida - 1/2 cup Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup Redchilly powder - 1 tsp Salt to taste Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp Dry mango powder - 1 tsp Lime juice - 1/2 tsp Method: 1) Heat oil in pan, add the chopped beans, carrot and peas. Sprinkle some water and saute till well cooked. 2) Add chopped onions and mashed potatoes and saute for 2 minutes. Now add redchilly powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder, lime, salt and saute till the raw taste goes off. Keep aside. 3) Mix corn flour and maida together with 1/3 cup of water to make it a medium thick batter. 4) Heat oil in a pan, now make small balls of the masala (in shape of a cutlet), dip in corn-maida batter, roll over the bread crumbs and deep fry in batches. Serve Hot. Onion pakoda: ![]() Ingredients: Big Onions - 3 nos (finely chopped) red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp salt to taste rice flour - 1/2 cup besan (gram flour) - 1 cup oil (for frying) Method: 1) Mix all ingredients except oil in a bowl gradually adding water until the mixture becomes a stiff batter. 2) Heat oil in a pan. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil. Fry batches of pakoda till it turn golden and crispy.
