REVIEW: MAALOUF'S A TASTE OF LEBANON

By SACRAMENTO BLOG UNCUT (Visit website)

Today after work I had the pleasure of dining at Maalouf's a taste of Lebanon which is located at 1433 Fulton Avenue. With the exception of the Buggy Whip restaurant I believe I have pretty much covered all of the restaurants on Fulton Avenue.

As I walked in the very clean but tiny restaurant I was greeted by a beautiful, dark haired, curvy woman. She was so beautiful. If you want to know what I like in a lady, check this place out!

She guided me over to a table & brought me a glass of water.

I spent a few minutes looking over the menu & decided on the Lamb Kabob Sandwich. This consisted of grilled ground lamb, served with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles & topped with tahini & a side of Hummus. This awesome combination was served on fresh pita bread.

To quench my thirst I asked for a diet coke. With my order in I looked over the place. Like I mentioned before it was very small, yet clean. There were a few awards on display near the register along with some framed newspaper articles about the restautant.

After a minute or two my beautiful server brought over a can of diet coke & a glass with ice. Hey man, $2.00 for a can of diet coke? I need to open a restaurant!

As I slowly sipped my $2.00 can of diet coke I watched my order being prepared by the cook. At Maalouf's the kitchen is right in front of you, so you can get a birdseye view of your meal being prepared.

It took about 10 minutes to prepare my sandwich, but when it was brought over to me, oh my God! It was awesome! The colors, the presentation of the lettuce, pickle, tomatoes, wrapped in a large piece of fresh pita bread. What a beautiful sight.

Wish I had my camera with me. It was just too perfect!

It was a slice of heaven that's for sure. Talk about flavor!

The total for this fantastic meal was just under $10.00. I left another $3.00 in the tip jar by the register.

Will I go back? Oh hell yes....

Next time I will stay for the Belly Dancing!

I give Maalouf's a taste of Lebanon 4 out of 4 stars.
