Roomate Woes
Yesterday morning I awoke from my bed with my little head full of thoughts about making me a wafflewich. It was definitely a head craving (as apposed to a tummy craving) because I simply loved the way wafflewich rolled off of my tongue. There are some foods that are even more fun to pronounce then they are to eat! (Crumpets come to mind as well)
![]() What is you favorite food word? ![]() Breakfast Menu: 2 Kashi Multigrain Waffles with TJ?s applesauce and a beautiful strawberry ½ cup tofu pudding Mugful of grapes Well I must admit it was pretty darn fun to eat as well. Waffles + applesauce was my favorite combo as a kiddo. Got to keep up with that inner child you know! I headed off to the gym. Tennis time! Gotta love this class. Even if my butt is still really sore from falling all the time (watch a video demonstration here). I?m getting better though! I think the tennis balls have some sort of magnetic attraction to my little curly head. ![]() After a shower and a quick run to Trader Joes for peanut butter I headed home for lunch. Lunch Menu: Two La Tortilla Factory mini tortillas covered with 1 tbsp of the afore-mentioned pb and a sprinkle of shredded carrots Grapes and delicious, fresh strawberries I needed a little extra protein after all of that hard work on my backhand so I added a bit of cottage cheese with Stevia and unsweetened coco powder (aka CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE) I spent the afternoon working through all of the paperwork I had to do for RISD. I took my roommate survey and I was rather disappointed with the extremely short amount of time it took to complete. I?m quite nervous about the whole roommate situation. You see, I wake up early. Like 4 or 5 a.m. kind of early. Always have and probably always will. I?ve spent four summers living in college dorms for ballet summer intensive programs and that was ALWAYS hard for me. I felt like I had to either stay in bed or be super quiet in order to not disturb the sleeping beauties in the room. Although they never seemed to show the same respect when they brought beer and random boys off the street into the room at 2:30 am? I've always just sucked it up. I tend to take after a very mute doormat at times. To all the wise ones who?ve lived through freshman year-- any tips on the whole roommate situation? This doormat may, in fact, wither away if she has to withstand two whole semesters worth of trampling. I really should learn to stand up for myself. After answering about twenty questions about musical preference (read not picky) and only one about level of neatness (read extreme--like folded socks and color-coded socks extreme) I was much in need of some nourishment. It was time for dinner. I contemplate my worries over a BBQ inspired meal because summertime food is all about the easy breezy life. ![]() Don?t Worry, Be Happy Dinner Menu: 1/3 cup BBQ Beans (even more beans! can you believe it?)over a bed of greens and some roasted brussel sprouts (from the freezer of course!) An itty-bitty sweet potato with Smart Balance and cinnamon (also from the freezer) And a bit of ?pan-fried? (a.k.a., pushed around in a non-stick until slightly crispy) tofu with rosemary Have a wonderful night darlins! I'm off to a night of tossing and turning. Instead of sheep I'll be counting the number of reasons my future roommate could possibly hate me... With Love, Emily
