Sabering....

By Bites of the Day (Visit website)

With our meal at The American Bounty we got a bit of a show in the courtyard. One of the professors that instructs and makes sure things move smoothly in the restaurant sabered a champagne bottle open. I never heard of this before, but they use sabers to open a bottle of champagne by finding the seam of the bottle. Its an older practice I guess, but pretty cool! He also found out from our waiter I was starting Monday and gave me his card to possibly do work study at the restaurant!

The first bottle shattered! This does not normally happen....

Trying again...

Success!!
