Sabudana Vada & Green Chutney
Sabudana Vada Ingredients Sabudana ( sago ): 100gm Roasted & coarsely powdered peanuts: 30gm Potato, boiled: 1 Green chilli: 1 Ginger: 1-inch piece Cumin seed powder ( jeera powder ) - 1/2 teaspoon Coriander leaves: 25 gm Salt to taste Oil for frying Method Soak sabudana for a minimum of 1 1/2hr. Drain and keep aside. Add boiled and mashed potato, coarsely powdered peanuts, chopped coriander, roasted cumin powder, chopped green chilli , salt to taste, ginger and mix it well. Make a small ball and flatten it in your palm and deep fry in batches ( 4 - 5 at a time ) till golden in colour. Serve with green chutney. For Green Chutney: 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves 4 tablespoon grated coconut 1/4 teaspoon tamarind paste ( optional ) 1 green chilli 1/2 teaspoon salt ( or to taste ) 1 - inch piece ginger, chopped 4 tablespoons water Method Make a smooth paste of above ingredients in a mixer with water. Transfer this chutney to another bowl. Serve with Sabudana Vada.
