Monday Again???? Where is the time going???!!!!

I hope you all had a nice weekend! Mine was pretty busy!

Friday Night we saw Social Network. I LOVED IT! Very interesting story…..however, apparently it is very one-sided (doesn’t make Mark Zuckerberg look too favorable).

Saturday morning I was running around getting flowers and other last minute items for my cousin’s bridal shower.

That night we had a few friends over and watched the Phillies Game 1 of the NLCS –yes, I was sporting my playoff gear.

Sunday was the shower….I am matron of honor so I  have been busy these past few months putting a lot of the small details together! It was a success thanks to everyone! AND she actually WAS surprised!! Jackie is a lot like me (a snoop), so I was sure she would have figured it out…but I threw her off the scent by inviting her to something next weekend, in a shady way so she would think that THAT was her shower…tee hee hee….

I put together a recipe book for Jackie. It was compiled with recipes I got ahead of time from family and friends, including pictures of them with the bride and/or groom….along with photo montages  of Jackie and Craig (baby pics and recent) & mushy quotes. I used blurb.com software to upload, design, layout, and print. I made this cover in photoshop, have NO idea how it came out so well since my skills are not that great, but I used my Photoshop Maximum Performance book for tips on how to do a photo montage:

I had vegetable dumplings, 2 helpings of  salad, green beans and a small side of pasta with marinara…and for dessert I skipped the cake and went for the mini chocolate hip and brownie mini’s

Jackie is not just a cousin– we were very close growing up….she was my best friend, like a sister to me…and I feel so incredibly blessed to have her in my life & to be sharing this special time with her
