Sliceable Vegan 'Cheese' Recipe
This recipe creates an oatmeal based cheese substitute that can actually be sliced and is quite good. The recipe is not that difficult to make at all. I say give it a try! :) (I discovered this recipe online at Wellsphere) I modified the recipe very slightly. I ate most of this cheese by itself, though it is very good on wheat thins too! :) For this recipe you will need: 2 cups of water 1/2 cup of nutritional yeast 1/3 cup of oatmeal 1 tablespoon raw sesame seeds 4 tablespoons arrowroot the juice of half a lemon 1 tablespoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt Mix all of the ingredients together very well in a blender, such as the Ninja. Heat the mixture on the stovetop, using medium heat & stirring constantly, until it becomes quite thick. Transfer to oiled dish. Put in fridge for @ 8 hours. Lick bowl- yum! :) Enjoy the rest 8 hours later! ![]()
