Snack monster
Half way through the afternoon I began to doubt my breakfast choice. I was ready to eat my arm off by noon and was so glad I packed a snack. By 1:30 I couldn’t wait any longer. Luckily the deli was slow (don’t tell Jason I said that!) and I was able to make myself lunch early. Normally I wait until after 2:00, but today I was just overtaken by hunger…or I just couldn’t stop thinking about food. Lunch today was an orange, a small bag of baked ruffles and half of a veggie sandwhich on a whole wheat hoagie with pepper jack cheese, avocado spread and spicy mustard. Once we closed up shop and I headed out I made a mad dash to the St Louis Health Dept to get a copy of my birth certificate. I have to renew my drivers license tomorrow and since I renewed it last time they changed the requirements of what you have to have. Sadly I didn’t have enough time to go ahead and renew it while I was there because I had to pick Linsey up from school. So tomorrow (on my birthday) I get to stand in line at the DMV. YIPPEE!! After school Linsey went to a friend’s house to work on homework and I set out for a run. I only did 2.5 miles because it was much more humid than I was expecting and the sweat was pouring into my eyes. I managed to finish in 28 minutes despite the humidity. I refueled with a chocolate cherry green monster. Since it was a beautiful day and everyone was in the mood to enjoy it the girls and I spent another hour or so at the park playing before heading home for dinner. Still pretty hot from my run and walking around in my sweaty clothes the only thing I could think of was a salad. So that is exactly what I made. Remember the Fresh Express Salad Kits?? I threw together the pear & gorgonzola salad (which is so yummy) and topped it with a Morningstar Farms asian patty. Then, of course, I needed something sweet. So I found the best choice in my kitchen. Now I’m going to put two very sleepy girls to bed and veg out with Jason and the DVR for a bit…before I pass out and do the whole thing over again tomorrow. Movement is a medicine for creating change in a person’s physical, emotional, and mental states. ~ Carol Welch related searches : Snack
