Snake Gourd - Podalanga Poriyal
Ingredients
Snake gourd - 200 g Onion - 1,medium sized,chopped Dhal - 1 tbsp,cooked Salt to taste Oil - 1/2 tsp,for seasoning Mustard - 1/4 tsp,for seasoning Green chilli - 1 Garlic - 2 cloves Curry leaves - few Preparation: Chop the snake-gourd,green chilli and onion in to small pieces...Cook a tbsp of dhal and keep it ready..Or you can make this vegetable the day you make dhal curry..That way you can take a tbsp of dhal easily..Now put the pan on the stove on a medium flame and add the oil...Season with mustard and curry leaves...Now add the snake gourd,onion,garlic,green chilli and salt...Sprinkle some water on this..Cook on low flame..Once it is cooked add the dhal and mix well..Now poriyal is ready...
