So, how is WW going?
Long time no WW chat!
My weekly visit to the Dub-Dub club is currently on Sunday. I'm going to be changing this to another day, possibly Friday, in the near future. Here's the Readers Digest version of my Dub-Dub Club adventure to catch you up: joined 2 weeks ago week 1-down 1.8 week 2-up 1.2 (sigh) Then today, just for grins, I get on the whatever A net loss but not the loss I want to see on the scale at the Dub-Dub Club. I will look over what I did and didn't do last week and do some tweeking. I know portion size is very important. It is possible to gain weight even if you are eating good, healthy food. I struggle with portion size. I weigh and measure and sometimes over-fill the things I am using to weigh and measure. Or add another spoonfull. And another. Very bad. I also used a lot of bonus points everyday last week. I need to quit doing that. Just stay in my points allowance for the day. Workout-wise I'm doing good. And the the weather is going to return to normal winter temperatures this week with no rain so there may be some outdoor workouts in my future. I have been trying new WW recipes and loved this one- Pasta Salad with Blue Cheese, Walnuts and Arugula is the name of it in the book. I didn't have arugula and I made a few other changes but lemme tell you, this is so good! Pasta Salad with Blue Cheese, Walnuts and Spinach (the Diva Weigh) 2 TBSP coarsely chopped walnuts 6 oz. uncooked whole wheat bowtie pasta (also called farfelle) 2 cups baby spinach, stems removed 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved 1 TBSP white wine vinegar 1 TBSP extra virgin olive oil 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 3 TBSP crumbled blue cheese 2 cups mixed greens or tossed salad cook the pasta till tender, drain but reserve 1 TBSP pasta water for dressing place pasta in a large serving bowl immediately add spinach and toss well, cover bowl with a lid or plastic wrap until spinach is wilted(about 5 minutes) stir in tomatoes and greens/or salad in a cup, stir together vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper and pasta water. pour over salad. sprinkle with walnuts and blue cheese serves 4 about 2 cups per serving 5 points This is very filling. What's your fave WW recipe?
