So much for the credit crunch, eh?

By Food and Drink (Visit website)

petrus1982Last week was a busy one. I was out at Bastille interviewing manager Guillaume on Thursday and then Nigel Rahman, owner of the Lisburn Road’s other new restaurant on Friday.

Whilst at the Bengal Brasserie on Friday afternoon, I was told a tale of a businessman who had booked a table for next week. Nothing strange in that, of course. But what was amazing was that said businessman had also ordered two bottles of Petrus wine. A snip at a mere £1800 a bottle.
