South Indian Fish Masala
Fish sliced into cubes? 1 lb Big onion ? 1 1/2 nos Ginger ? 1 inch minced Garlic ? 10 cloves sliced Green chillies ? 4 nos Thick Coconut milk ? 1 cup Thin coconut milk-1/2 cup Mustard seeds ? 1 tsp Turmeric ? 2 tsp Coriander powder ? 4 tbsp. Gharam masala ? 2 tsp Pepper powder ? 2 tsp Oil Curry leaves ? 2 sprigs Cilantro-1/4 th cup Salt to taste Lemon juice-1/2 tsp Yogurt/Curd-1/4th cup(for little sourness since its a fish curry) How to make 1.Clean the fish using turmeric and curd(measurings not included). 2.Coat fish pieces with a pinch of salt,pepper,red chilly ,lime juice and turmeric. 4.Keep refrigerated for 10 mins. 6.Meanwhile ,heat oil and splutter mustard seeds,then put onion and saute well. 7.When its brown,add sliced ginger and garlic,cut green chillies,curry leaves. Saute well.Add salt as reqd... 8.Add rest of all spicy powders(coriander powder,gharam masala,red chilly,pepper) . 9.Pour in thin coconut milk and mix well. 10.When it boils add the fish pieces. Add yogurt and let it cook.. 11.When the sauce is almost thick,add the rest of coconut milk ,dnt boil then. 13.Garnish with cilantro... Switch off the heat and serve hot... related searches : South
