Southekayi Hasi Gojju or Cucumber Raw Curry
This is a quick curry that goes well with rice as well rotis. I love to have it just as is. As the name suggests, there is no cooking involved. Ingredients: 2 medium cucumbers Salt to taste Grind to paste: 3/4 cup coconut (shredded or powder) 1/4 cup Dalia/Huragadale 2-3 green chillies or to taste 1/8 tsp Hing 1 tsp mustard seeds 1/4 tsp tamarind paste 1 tsp brown sugar or jaggery A few sprigs of cilantro (I did not use it here) Tadka: 1 tsp oil Mustard seeds Hing 1-2 dried red chillies crushed (optional) Curry Leaves Peel and de-seed the cucumbers. Chop them into small pieces. Add the ground paste & tadka. Mix in salt just before serving. related searches : Southekayi
