Spiced Cumin and chickpeas rice
Spiced Cumin and Chickpeas Rice: Ingredients: 250 g chickpeas,soaked for 6 hours 2 tsp cumin seeds500 g basmati rice 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 3 chopped onions 100 g ghee or oil 500 ml water 200 ml thick coconut milk salt to taste Method: Pressure cook the chickpeas until half cooked,keep aside.Wash the rice,drain and set aside.Heat the ghee or oil in a rice cooker,add jeera,onion and ginger garlic paste, let it cook for 5 mins.Add water,rice,coconut milk,chickpeas,turmeric powder and salt to taste.Leave rice to cook.Spiced cumin and chickpeas rice is ready to serve.
