Spicy Fish Fry / Meen Varuval
Ingredients: Fish Fillets ( any fish) - 4 ~ 5 big pieces, I used King Fish. For Paste: Red Chili powder - 2 tbsp Coriander powder - 1 tbsp Fennel seed powder- 1/2 tsp Garlic Paste- 1 tsp Lemon Juice- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder- A pinch Tamarind paste- 1/4 tsp Rice flour / corn flour- 1tsp Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp Pepper powder - as required (optional) Oil - 1 tbsp + for frying Salt - To taste Method: Make a Paste with above Ingredients & adjust Salt, Spice to taste.Marinate Fish fillets with the paste & keep it aside for at least 1/2 hour.Heat Griddle on low heat & add 2 tbsp of oil over it.Place Fish fillets over the Griddle & cook for 5~7 mins in low heat.Flip the fish to other side & cook for another 5~7 mins in low heat.Add required oil to avoid fillets sticking to the griddle.Remove the fish fillets when both side becomes golden brown colour.If need Sprinkle Pepper powder over the fish.Garnish with minced Cilantro & Serve hot with Sambar & Rasam rice. related searches : Spicy
