Spicy Milagu Kulambu(Pepper Garlic Kulambu)
![]() This is one of my favourite kulambu. A good one for a boring weekend, i would make this whenever i get confused in the morning on what to cook, or bored of making Sambar and routine dishes. Pepper is get cooling agent too, garlic gives an excellent flavour. Combo of these two will be a definite lip-Smacker.. Ingredients: 1. Black peppercorns - 4 tsps, 2. Garlic cloves - 10, 3. Pearl onions - 8, 4. Tomato - 1(finely chopped), 5. Curry leaves - 1 string, 6. Methi/Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp, 7. Coriander powder - 4 tsps, 8. Turmeric powder - 2 tsps, 9. Tamarind juice - 1/2 cup, 10. Salt - 3 tsp(as per taste), 11. Gingerly oil - 3 tsp. ![]() How to make this? 1. Heat 1 tsp oil in kadai, fry the peppercorns, till they splutter little and then remove them. Add 4 garlic cloves in the same kadai, saute 2mins and cool them. 2. In a blender, put the peppercorns, fried garlic, coriander powder and grind in to a fine paste. 3. Heat oil in kadai, add the methi seeds, let them brown and splutter. Now add the onions, garlic, curry leaves and saute for 3 mins. 4. Now add the chopped tomatoes and saute till they get mashed. Add the ground masala, turmeric powder, salt and saute for 3mins till raw smell goes. 5. Now add the enough tamarind juice and water, adjust taste and leave to boil. 6. After that simmer and boil for 2mins, by adding oil on top. When the kulambu thickens and releases excellent pepper-garlish flavour put off the flame. Serve hot with steaming rice, boiled egg and appalam. Enjoy :) related searches : Spicy
