Congrats, Cheryl!  (Had the wrong name, my apologies)

Please email me with your contact info by Monday evening!

On to the eats!

A late sleep-in was not in the cards for me this morning. Instead of fighting it, I woke up at 7 and decided to catch up on some long-neglected TV. I miss our Tivo, which bit it last year. During tax season I don’t get to watch all my shows, so it’s hard catching up without it. However, most of the shows are available online, so it works out.

Watching tv for a few hours can make you hungry!

We’ve had a bottle of this in the fridge for a couple weeks, so I figured it was time to try it. I buy these once in a while so Mr. Spice gets something close to veggies and fruit in his diet. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that I like they way they taste! One of these days I’m going to try them in a green smoothie, whenever I get around to making them again.

A little cereal mix to start the day — I combined some Kashi GoLean and Chocolate Lucky Charms.

Then, a few hours later, I had a couple hard-boiled eggs.

Salt, black pepper, and some Old Bay seasoning on the eggs. I like using Old Bay on different things — eggs and popcorn are a couple of my recent experiments.

After some more tv-watching, it was time for lunch.

We finished off the fish curry and couscous from a couple nights ago. I’ve been craving fish a lot recently, so you might see variations of this coming up.

This afternoon ended up being very busy.

Chloe needed to get her shots, so she had a vet appointment.  I was worrying about how we were going to get her into her carrier, since she put up quite a fight last time. I made sure to play with her a lot this morning to wear her out. She was napping when it was time to get her ready, so I don’t know if her being sleepy helped. I put some treats down on the floor near the carrier and as she was eating them I snatched her up and somehow got her into the carrier.

After her appointment, we dropped her off at home and headed back out, this time to look at a camera I’ve been eyeing.

But first, snack time!

Sorry for the blurriness, we snapped while I was stopped at a light. And these things are not filling at all, by the way.

We had to go to a few stores before I found the camera I’ve been thinking about.

I want this!!

It’s not an SLR, but it’s pretty advanced for a point-and-shoot! I definitely wanted to upgrade from the camera we have now but I’m not ready for an SLR yet. I can’t imagine having to lug it and all those lenses around. Maybe some day.

Anyway, I haven’t bought it yet, I just wanted to get my hands on it to play with it instead of just relying on reviews online.  I do like it though, so we’ll see! :)

We had driven pretty far out of our way looking for a store that had the camera, so we decided to grab some dinner while we were out.  Mr. Spice wanted sushi, but we were a bit under-dressed for some of the places nearby.  We ended up at Ru-Sans, which is a chain here in Atlanta.  I will be honest and say that it’s not our first choice usually.  I’m by no means a sushi snob, but we usually go to authentic Japanese restaurants when Mr. Spice is in the mood, and Ru-Sans is geared toward a different crowd — think huge, fried, made-up rolls.  Anyway, it’s where we ended up and we do come here from time to time because I happen to like some of the fried fake rolls!

I got a spicy tuna tempura roll and some spicy chicken udon noodles.  The roll was okay, I should have gotten the one I like, which is the firecracker roll.

Mr. Spice ordered a couple different rolls. He usually doesn’t order rolls, he goes for straight-up sushi and sashimi, but as I’ve said, this place is for a different crowd. I have no idea which rolls he got tonight, but they had names like Olympic 5-Ring something or other. :)

His pictures look so much better than mine — maybe I should start outsourcing to him!

The rolls here are huge — I had to share my roll and I made it through half of my noodles before I got stuffed.

Okay, that’s it for tonight! The Mizzou-Oklahoma game is on and I need to cheer on my Tigers!
