Steamed Maya Maya (Crimson Snapper) with Ginger and Light Soy Sauce
Since it's Black Friday, the Farmer's Market in our village do not have any pork, beef or chicken meat for sale. They, however, have bountiful catch of swimmers. I decided to buy a snapper, known locally as maya maya. Since I want a light cook, not much ingredients and not much effort, I decided to steam it. So a steamed snapper with ginger and light soy sauce was what's for dinner tonight.
How I cooked it: 1. Cut slits in the snapper. 2. Place snapper on steamer. 3. Sprinkle ginger strips, spring onions and cilantro/parsley. 4. Cover and steam for 15-20 minutes. 5. Pour light soy sauce. 6. Garnish with ginger strips, spring onions and cilantro/parsley. How to prepare light soy sauce: 1. Mix 1 cup water, 3 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sugar. 2. Simmer. related searches : Steamed
