Strawberry Fields in Sweden

"I agree with anonymous up there when he spoke about being a great blog for us to share our views... but for me, this time will be all about sharing an experience and giving you a wonderful secret place to go to on your next vacation. This little place is in Järfälla, Sweden. Close to Viksjö. This is a very lovely suburb in the country's capital, Stockholm. In Sweden, walking in the forest is part of the every day life of a local. It was in one of my visits to this country that I discovered the most wonderful strawberry farm I have ever been to. The fields were soo pretty and green, and almost everywhere you looked there where strawberries.During the summer time this country is absolutely breathtaking. Everything from the colors, the festivals down to the food is very, very good. This strawberry farm was my little piece of Heaven on Earth! You are allowed to take your own containers to the farm(if you didn't bring one, don't worry, they have plenty of boxes for you to take and continue enjoying your farming experience) and you pick as many strawberries as you desire. The strawberries are then measured in weight and you are charged by the kilo(in Europe the pounds are not used as a weight system unit, they use the kilogram. Don't worry, you can take 3 full boxes of strawberries home and they won't be expensive at all. It is great!). You can choose to take your fruit right on home to eat as dessert, make jam or whatever, or you can stay in the farm and walk along the nearby lake or take a hike near the surrounding mountains.
