Suddenly Saturday
WOW!! I can’t believe it’s suddenly Saturday. I feel like we just back from Springfield (that could be because the suitcase we used is still sitting in the living room unpacked) and the week is already over. We just got back from our usual Saturday morning walk to Bread Co and we got to go with ALL the P’s this time!! I didn’t take one picture on this morning’s trip because – um – we were kind of idiots and walked there in the rain. In our defense it was just barely spitting when we left (and there was NO rain in the forecast) so we figured it would pass over rather quickly. NOT!! It started really pouring at one point on the walk there so staying dry was the task at hand. Believe it or not Regan walked the ENTIRE way there. We’re talking almost 2 miles people and she’s only 2!! I was pretty impressed. I had my usual Saturday morning breakfast, but they were out of the jalapeno cheddar bagels so I had it on an everything bagel. Not gonna lie – t’was kind of nice eating breakfast, talking to Jen and NOT taking a zillion pictures. I’m sure I’ll make up for it at some point today though…cause that’s just how I roll. Jason’s on his way to the airport to pick up his grandmother, Mimi, who will be staying with us until Friday when he will drive her down to Springfield to stay with his parents for another week before she returns home to Atlanta. The week should be interesting! The girls played hard while I cleaned up and prepared for Mimi’s arrival. Apparently they played really hard because Regan, without any encouraging from us, climbed into her bed and put herself to sleep at about 5:15. I let her sleep until about 6:00 – when it was time to eat.. She just looked so cute I couldn’t bring myself to wake her up. Of course – we paid for it when she was still awake at 11:00 last night. Yesterday was a very important day for us… It was World Vegetarian Day!! So we celebrated like all good vegetarians do – we made a fairly standard type of meal for dinner. A plate full of roasted brussel sprouts, dill potatoes, baked tofu and whole wheat naan with roasted garlic hummus and bar-be-que sauce for dippin!! If you’re a vegetarian how did you celebrate the day?? For some reason, Jen, me and the girls were singing this song ALL the way home so I just had to share it with you guys so that it’s stuck in your head right along with me. ENJOY!!! And PLEASE – don’t forget to check out my silent auctions here, here and here! HAPPY SATURDAY!
