Weather People- so wrong- the weekend, apart from some  loose drops was beautiful, we did not get slammed as promised, did the street sale, rode bikes, made fire ( and the appropriate perfectly fire toasted marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers- desert first!)  and played in the garden.

The bounty of summer is awesome. Pineapple, blueberries and blackberries, but by far watermelon is my favorite, inducing a dream like state of mind, which explains why there is no picture of it.

I thought to lighten up the meat load and make a roll instead stuffed with spinach and onion. I know I have posted similar before, so that’s #2.  Flatten steak - I find rolling pin used as hammer works fine and is quite amusing to the boyz , spice with cumin, sage, black pepper, mustard powder, bits of butter (take that cholesterol lady!), load with spinach and onions , roll, tighten with string, sear each rolling side- 5 min, cover 5min, rest, slice.  Mine turned out a bit too pink inside and I did not’t like this so returned to pan for a minute and added rice. Garnished  with garden lettuce salad.
