Sunset at Malaga Cove

By Suzanne: Trying to Maintain (Visit website)

I have been throughly loving the last few days, and I can honestly say I haven't had this much relaxing fun in a long time. Yesterday morning, Prashant and I started things off with bagels and coffee from a local bakery we found on Pacific Coast Hwy. I had a cinnamon raisin bagel smeared with cinnamon, raisin and walnut cream cheese. I had no idea this bagel would hold me over for the rest of the day! There goes trying to eat more healthy after the big Thanksgiving feast. I hardly ever eat bagels though, and I'm on a mini vacay so I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts, plus my scale hasn't gone up. As I always tell my class, enjoy in moderation!

Scrumpdilliumptious!

Hazelnut coffee with nonfat milk and cinnamon...

After eating breakfast, we headed over to the Blockbuster in Belmont Shores so we could pick up season 2 of Califonication. We watched season 1 last weekend, so now we feel compelled to find out what will happen next. Afterwards, we went back home to continue the relaxation process. By Tuesday when I go back to work, I hope to have it down to a science! Oh yeah... feet up, a good book and a cup of peppermint tea in hand.

Later in the afternoon, Prashant came up with an excellent idea to go watch the sun while setting at Malaga Cove in Palos Verdes. What a view, huh?

Many surfers waiting to catch the perfect wave...

Beautiful golden colors...

Many dream homes along the hillside...

I will let the rest of the photos speak for themselves...

Good-night beautiful sun...

After our long walk, we finally had an appetite again, so we stopped by Riviera Mexican Grill in Redondo Beach for a little dinner.

Chips and salsa were brought to the table right away...

Pretty fishies in the background...

A delicious mango margarita...

I took a little bite of this garlic potato taco before remembering to snap a picture... it didn't turn out so nice.

Prashant and I also split an order of tofu fajitas. The fajitas came with corn tortillas, black beans, chopped cabbage, tomatoes and gaucamole.

I had 2 fajitas with all the fixings...

Sadly, our dinner wasn't nearly as impressive as the sunset in Palos Verdes. Oh well, at least the margarita was good! I hope you enjoyed watching the sun go down! Prashant and I are about to go for a walk down on the beach so we can watch the sunset again. Have a beautiful afternoon and evening.
