Super Moist Banana Bread
My Super Moist Banana Bread
![]() ![]() This is the moistest recipe for banana bread. Seriously my banana bread was oozing out bananas. The trick is to slice them and fold them gently into the batter. The addition of sour cream is also amazing and makes for an ultra tender cake/bread. This banana bread has weight - it's so soft and tender, everyone loves it! You bite into soft warm chunks of banana...soooooo good. So flavourful too - I almost didn't want to give away the recipe. Definite 6/6! The only negative is that the bananas tend to sink the the bottom of a bit so just make sure you slice them nice and thin so they'll remain above the batter. Good luck!! Ingredients: 1/2 cup melted butter 1 cup white sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp nutmeg1/2 tsp cinnamon1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 2 1/2 very ripe bananas1 tbsp honey Directions 1. In a large bowl melt butter and mix with sugar until dissolved. 2. Add eggs and vanilla to butter mixture. Mix thoroughly. 3. In a separate bowl mix all dry ingredients. 4. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Mix well. 5. Fold in sliced bananas and chopped walnuts to mixture. 6. Fold in sour cream. 7. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean and the top is golden brown. 8. Use a pastry brush and lightly brush the top with honey.
