Sweet Pongal
Ingredients: Cooked Rice - 3 cups Jaggery - 1 (or) 2 cups (grated) Coconut - 1 cup (grated) Cardamom powder - 1 pinch Salt - 1 pinch Cashew nuts - 1/2 cup Raisins - 1/2 cup Ghee - 3 tsp Method: 1) Heat 2 cups of water in a pan, add the cooked rice and jaggery together and let it boil for sometime. 2) When the content starts becoming thick (i.e when rice and jaggery mixes well), add coconut and stir. 3) Add cardamom powder, a pinch salt and stir well till the content becomes thick. Take it off. 4) In a small pan, heat ghee, add cashew and raisins, stir well till cashew becomes brown and raisins pops up. Add this to the pongal, stir well and serve hot. related searches : Sweet
