Sweet Pork Spareribs
The "should have been braised pork spareribs", why? technically, I really did not braised it , I just poured the sauce on the fried spareribs.. Why? I don't have much time at that moment, our oven is nowhere to be find ,simply means it is still in the store waiting for us.. and I'm using an electric stove, longer cooking time is directly proportional to monster bills! Oops.. and meats here are cooked within 15mins.. Anyway, it's not important whether I braised it or not, the thing is hubby loves it..and it tastes like braised pork ribs because of the sauce, yeah, still braised pork ribs for us..To give justice to braised dishes, I just called ours sweet pork spareribs. Any suggestion? It was last friday that I'm having trouble on what to cook for lunch, and all that have left in the fridge is a pork spareribs, that should be for pork sinigang but my ingredients were incomplete. And thankfully, after a post in Facebook, Ms. Marge suggested a braised spareribs. I immediately checked my ingredients, and voila.. Just in time for hubby's lunch, and it took me 30 mins to prepare, including the heating time of our electric stove (usually takes 10 minutes), so basically, I can't braise it, instead I pour the sauce into the dish, and the remaining on a sauce bowl, so we can dip into it. It's more fun dipping anyway. Thanks Ms. Marge for the idea.. P.S. As I was taking some photos, my sweet camera's battery got empty, at least I got one. I poured a little sauce on this one, just to coat the ribs.. Ingredients: 6 pcs pork spare ribs 2 tbsp oil for frying Sauce: 1 clove garlic, chopped 1 tsp chopped ginger, or finely grated 4 tbsp soysauce 1 tbsp vinegar 2 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp Mirin (optional) 1 tsp water (optional) -soy sauce here gets too salty (specially when it starts to boil..), so I add a little water.. Procedure: 1. cook the ribs in a 1/3 cup boiling water, until ribs are tender and the water is gone, so you can add the oil..--really have no idea how to describe it.. 2. Fry ribs until golden brown, set aside Sauce: 1. Mix everything together in a bowl 2. In a low heat, pour the mixture in a saucepan, stir until it starts to boil and become a little sticky. (took me 2-3 mins). 3. Remove from heat and pour on the fried ribs..garnish with scallions or spring onions. 4. Serve with rice.. related searches : Sweet
