Taco Tuesday and my Accent Vlog

Hey ya?ll it?s Taco Tuesday and I made myself a garlic shrimp taco for lunch.

This taco was really big and filling. First I heated up 4 frozen garlic battered shrimp in the oven, along with it I heated up one taco shell. Then I put 2 tablespoons of refried beans in the microwave to heat for about 30 seconds. I added some red pepper flakes, chili powder and taco seasoning to the beans to make it taste a little more flavorful.


Once everything was done heating I put the beans in the shell, then the shrimp, then a few cut up leaves of romaine lettuce, 3 spoonful’s of salsa and some grated pepper jack cheese.

Yum! Here?s the calorie breakdown



taco shell: 90 calories
2 tbsp refried beans: 30 calories (I didn?t actually measure)
4 battered shrimp: 80 calories
salsa: ~10 calories
cheese: ~30 calories
lettuce: 0

for a grand total of 240. Open-mouthed smile


Then to eat up the rest of my mini meal allowance I used some of my new Pure Dark chocolate Foodbuzz sent me to try.

I had a few pieces of the Bark which is a 62% dark chocolate bar topped with cherries, roasted almonds, and caramelized cacao nibs. The cacao nibs are the best part.

The really rich dark chocolate is the best for killing a chocolate craving. I?ve had little bites today and yesterday and I love them. The bars have all natural ingredients that I can pronounce which is a definite plus since most of the chocolate I tend to buy has tons of preservatives in it. Thank you Pure Dark and Food Buzz for my chocolate.

I think according to the package I had between 40 and 60 calories in my mini serving. Open-mouthed smile
