Tahini Chocolate Brownie

By tobias cooks! (Visit website)

This fabulous idea originates at Joumana blog. Take a classic American sweet and combine it with orthodox lent tradition. There you go: the Tahini chocolate Brownie is born. All oils are replaced with Tahini. The Brownie is light and fluffy, it tastes delicious. The smell of sesame or Halva during baking is great.

I had a muffin tray that’s why this brownie is not in the classic shape.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Baking time: 15 minutes
difficulty: easy

Ingredients for 6 portions:

5,3 oz icing sugar
4,4 oz bitter chocolate
5,3 fl oz fresh orange juice
5,3 oz flour
5,3 Tahini
1 tbsp organic baking powder

Preparation:

Heat up the oven to 356 F.

Melt the chocolate in a pot at low temperature. Meanwhile press out the orange juice.

Mix the juice, the Tahini and the icing sugar in a small bowl. Add the melted chocolate and mix as well. Keep on mixing while you add the baking powder and the flour. I use a food processor for the process.

Add the mixture to a baking form and bake for 20 minutes.
