Tawa Paneer Tikka / Cottage Cheese Shallow Fried
Ingredients: cut paneer (cottage cheese) into rectangular shapes :6-7 pieces cream or malai 4 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp jeera or cumin seeds powder 1/2tsp a pinch of ajwain garam masala 1/4tsp corn flour 2-3 tsp salt to taste butter 2 tsp lemon juice 2 tsp oil (peanut oil) 4-5 tsp capsicum large size 1 onion large size 1 Combine together cream, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder, ajwain, garam masala, corn flour and salt. Add it to the paneer and mix it up well. Keep aside to marinate for 15 minutes. Deseed capsicum and cut them into long strips Peel the onion, cut into halves and seperate each layer. Roast capsicum and onion in butter and salt. Keep it aside. Heat some oil on a tawa (pan) Add the paneer cubes one by one and cook on a slow fire. Keep flipping them until they turn golden brown on all sides. Remove from tawa. Immediately apply butter and sprinkle lemon juice. Serve hot with roasted capsicum and onion. related searches : Tawa
