Thai Noodle Experiment
Kristen introduced me to a small but well stocked Thai grocery in Higashi Shinjuku – and I went just a little wild… Armed with my two Thai cookbooks (also from Kristen) I am dipping my toes into improving my Thai cooking! I think I went a bit too conservative with dressing the noodles this time – although the mango chili sauce was sweet and bitey. The sprout-looking veg is called kushinsai, often water spinach in English. Seems to be related to the spinach family. I like it because it’s crunchy – and it seems to wilt ok too. The dumplings were pre-made and filled with diced prawns and nira (garlic chives). They went great with the pineapple chili sauce! Tweet This! Share this on Facebook Stumble upon something good?
