Thanksgiving Eve 2009

By Carrots 'N' Cake (Visit website)

Hi, guys! Long time, no blog. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I have a ton to catch up on, so I’m let’s to whiz right through it. Here we go!

[rewind to Wednesday night]

Mal, Murphy, and I drove to our hometown on Wednesday afternoon to avoid the traffic coming out of the city. There was hardly any traffic, and we made it home in great time!

When we arrived at Mal’s parents’ house, we caught-up with my sister-in-law, Sibylle, and met her boyfriend, Coleman, for the first time. (He’s great, by the way!) Sib and Cole also got to meet Murphy! Of course, Murph was psyched to meet Auntie Sibylle!

In our hometown, there is a tradition to meet up with old high school friends at a local bar the night before Thanksgiving. But, before meeting up with everyone, Mal, Sibylle, Coleman, and I went out to dinner at Crossroad Cafe.

It was an excellent martini! Good choice! :-D

For dinner, I ordered the French onion soup, which was warm, cheesy, and delicious.

After dinner, we met up with friends at the local pub, where we chatted and caught up, but we only stayed there for about an hour. Us old folks were ready for bed by 11:00!

Thanksgiving recap to come soon! :-D
