The DVR Lives!

By Meals and Miles (Visit website)

Exciting news! My DVR is ok!!!! I guess it just needed to sleep a little bit, unplugging the machine for a couple of minutes did the trick. I was even able to watch my shows that recorded last night!! By the way how sick are you of Vicky on The Biggest Loser? Forget Phil being annoying, I want her gone! Way to go to Amy for kicking Brady out the door! Sorry… sidetrack….anyways….

Dinner tonight was uneventful. I did, however, use up some great food from my freezer and pantry!

I heated up a frozen Apple Chicken Sausage and wrapped it up in half of a Flat Out Wrap with some yummy Sauerkraut.

I <3 Sauerkraut & Apple Chicken Sausage! If you haven’t tried it I would highly suggest using the Flat Out wrap in place of a bun. Half of the wrap is the perfect size and you don’t get the bulkiness that a regular hot dog bun offers.

On the side I had a Reduced Fat Cheese Stick (which I cut in pieces for more bites) and some Frozen Okra I heated up in the oven with a Cajun seasoning blend I had in my cabinet.

As I was preparing the meal I kept thinking it was missing something, like fries or chips, but as soon as I started eating it all of those thought faded away. This meal was great as is.

Dessert was something I did a while back and thought tonight would be the perfect time to recreate it. Of course my pictures were not nearly as good as before. :)

I started with 9 mini Meringues

Which are of course great on their own, but even better dipped in melted chocolate.

Such a great dessert! I just relaxed in front of the TV dipping the yummy meringues. I always think how life without dessert just would not be very fun, would it?

To back up, I did have a snack this afternoon of a Kashi Pumpkin Granola Bar. :)

I need to go pack, but I am just too lazy. I will probably end up packing as I rush to get out the door on Friday morning again. I’m the worst procrastinator ever!
