The Volcano
Happy Saturday. Doesn?t it feel great to be in the weekend? I sure think it does. I even slept in ?til 8:30am. Breakfast Family breakfast took place at the Black Bear Diner! As soon as we sat down I ordered a coffee, STAT! Everyone was a little groggy this morning, including the Bro. He?s on another planet! I shared with mom and ordered the Volcano. A stack of three buttermilk pancakes with a strip of bacon These were the sweetest, buttery-est delicious pancakes I think I?ve ever had! I ate the egg, sausage, bacon and the top pancake while Mom enjoyed a side of home fries and the other two cakes. I always love me some Black Bear! I had to hustle out of the diner to get to practice where I balanced participating in two practices. Hard Work. I also get to play the ?Bad Cop? by running conditioning exercises. The girls and I are starting to have a hate love relationship. I think they secretly sort of hate me and I love them After practice we had a coaches meeting from 12 to 1. We just needed to get organized as a whole program since the teams area all finalized now. Lunch Once home I made myself a Sandwich Thin turkey sandwich with pepper jack cheese and greek yogurt on the side. Hail Cesar Cow! This was strawberry Brown Cow so I added the usual raw oats and some chocolate because strawberries always taste delicious with some chocolate. This sandwich was perfect. It had crisp lettuce, brown mustard, deli turkey slices and pepper jack cheese. I love when my sandwich has some serious crunch! Then after lunch I spent the afternoon shopping! Such a rare occurrence in my life. I need some new coaching clothes especially since I?m over 10 pounds lighter than I was last season. I like to keep my coaching clothes casual yet nice so I wear trousers and heals with long sleeve tee?s and sweaters. Sometimes I go completely business casual but mostly I keep it more comfy nice! Our team colors are purple and gold (basically Lakers colors) so I was on the hunt for neutrals like grays, topes and blacks with the occasional purple. I found this perfect shirt at the Gap and paid a pretty penny for it just because it is literally the perfect colors! I?m sad the lighting blows out the purple, but it really is Laker purple! I cant wait to wear it to a game. Snack After a long day of shopping I snuggled up under a blanket and enjoyed two Tangerines. After my citrus snack I took my peals to the kitchen and the last dough ball called my name? I devoured it! This evening has been pretty low key. My ankle is sore from shopping (but oh so worth it) and the house is pretty chilly so we?re keeping warm under blankets in front of the fire. 6pm meant time to eat. Dinner Mom whipped up this creation? Broccoli with a hint of parm with spaghetti and meat sauce! But before I ate this? I enjoyed a handful of Special K herb flavored crackers. I was so hungry! I think the herb Special K crackers are amazing! I cant eat just one. I?m so stuffed! I think broccoli is an Italian vegetable. It always tastes so good with pasta.
