! I love that I can make a soup all in one pot and just insert the blender right into that same pot! I have also used it to finish a sauce or gravy, making it smooth and silky. It comes in handy when loads of tomatoes come in from the garden. I can cook down tomatoes and season them up, puree with my "stick blender" and strain off for freezing...I use this tool in my kitchen a lot.
