Tofu nuggets, anyone?
Tofu nuggets can be the main dish of a meal, or they can make a good snack. If you like tofu, you will like tofu nuggets. I find that they grow on you, and it is good to have something to dip them in. I like ketchup, but some people prefer Ranch dressing. This would make a good vegetarian kid's food. To make tofu nuggets, you will need: firm or extra firm tofu egg garlic salt cumin First you will want to press your tofu for about ten minutes to get rid of access water, as it is packed in water. I put my tofu on a cutting board with a plate and a heavy yogurt on top for pressure. Once your tofu has drained, cube it like so. Now, get your bowl of beaten egg handy. Get your bread crumbs handy. Put about half a teaspoon of garlic powder and cumin in them. As you can see, I toasted two pieces of bread to make mine. Work with one nugget at a time, dipping it in egg, then dipping it in bread crumbs. Try to get each nugget coated evenly. Pop them into the oven for about 20 minutes.
