These days I'm totally into trying out different types of dishes and cuisine. That's when I remember our visit to my hubby's friend's home where his wife served tortillas chips with various dips and salsa like guacamole, tomato salsa, red beans and sour cream layered beautifully in a glass bowl. A Mexican based appetizers which was so yummy. As we know that Mexican cuisine is known for its varied flavors, colorful decoration, and variety of spices and ingredients, many of which are native to the country. After few days later- I really wanted to try that particular dish which was a bit different from hers. I in dilemma where to make the tortillas chips at home or to use the help form store. I was kinda of very lazy and stick to getting a packet from the shop instead.

1: Guacamole
Guacamole is an avocado-based dip which originated in Mexico. Guacamole was originally made by the Aztecs by mashing ripe avocados with a mortar and pestle and adding tomatoes and salt.
Ingredients:
6 riped avocados
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
4 plum tomatoes, finely diced
1 medium onion, finely diced
1 jalapeño pepper, minced (with seeds if desired)
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/4tsp coarse salt
1/2tsp freshly ground pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro or coriander leaves

Preparation Methods:
Remove skins from avocados. Place the avocados in a bowl and mash with a fork until you get the consistency you want.Stir in remaining ingredients. Adjust seasonings to your tastes.
Use as soon as you can. Otherwise it will start to turn dark.

2: Tomato Salsa
A standard and almost necessary accompaniment to most Mexican food is salsa.

salt and pepper

Preparation Methods:
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and gently mix.

3: Baked Bean

1 can of chilli beans
1/4 cup chopped red onions
1tbsp hot sauces
2 garlic cloves minced
salt and pepper powder
1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Preparation Methods:
In a large bowl combine all the ingredients and mix well.

4: Sour Cream
Sour cream is often used as a condiment and can also provide the base for various forms of dip.The sourness of cream is always very comforting for me.

Ingredients:
1 cup sour cream
1tbsp pepper powder
1/2tsp onion powder
1tsp of any Pizza seasoning

Combine all the ingredient in a bowl and blend well.
