Upside down pear cake
I always have lots of respect when it comes to baking. Usually baking requires precision and patience. Both things that I can only achieve when I really have to. This cake though is different. It took me hardly 15 minutes to prepare the dough, the pears and the caramel and the result was delicious. Preparation time: 15 minutes Baking time: 30 minutes Difficulty: easy Ingredients: 3 pears 5 ounces of brown sugar 1/2 cup of water 7 ounces of flour 1 tbsp of baking powder 3,5 ounces of butter 2 eggs 1 orange, organic 1 lemon organic Preparation: Dissolve the sugar with the water in a small pot and get it to boil. Let it simmer on low heat until the sugar turns brown. Meanwhile melt the butter and let it cool off a bit. Mix it with the eggs. Keep some butter to grease the baking tray. Add lemon and orange zest to the eggs. Peel the pears, cut in quarters and remove the pits. Mix the flour and the baking powder into the egg mix until you have a soft dough. Now pour the caramelized sugar into the buttered baking tray. Place the pears in the tray and pour the dough over them. Spread the dough out evenly. When readily baked remove from the oven. Let it cool down a bit then flip the cake onto a plate. related searches : Upside
