Vegan Burgers: Portobello Mushroom & Vegetable Masala

On the weekends I love to and experiment with different ways to make veggie burgers.  “Veggie burger” might bring about images of those flat, processed, soy protein patties.  Don’t worry, you won’t find those here.


These are two of my favorites:


Portobello mushroom burger served with grilled zucchini & squash, and roasted sweet potatoes.

And then there’s this fabulous Vegetable Masala Burger served with kale chips and tzatziki dip.  If you follow a diet, serve in place of tzatziki.



You can find masala burgers in the frozen foods section at Trader Joe’s.  If you haven’t tried them, put them on your shopping list the next time you head to TJ’s.
