Veggie, Tempeh, Rice Bowl
Good Afternoon! Taking a break from my yoga homework.... I made a delicious lunch of leftover Tempeh, Kashi 7 Whole Grain Rice Pilaf and Veggie Mix. I want to incorporate more brown rice into my diet but hate to say that the calorie count adds up rather quickly. You just don't want to eat a ton of rice but it is good for you and I love the Kashi Original 7 Whole Grain Pilaf- one cup of Kashi 7 Whole Grain Pilaf has 220 calories, 4 grams of fat, 7 grams of fiber and 8 grams of protein. Today I used: 1/2 cup of Kashi 7 Whole Grain Pilaf (a little goes a long way) 2 oz of leftover Tempeh (from the TLT Tempeh Sandwiches) Brocoli, Cauliflower and Carrot Veggie Mix I sauteed the veggies in 1 tsp olive oil and 1 minced fresh garlic clove. This was a very filling lunch and I was able to incorporate my rice, protein (tempeh) and veggies! I really, really love the Kashi 7 Whole Grain Pilaf. It has a ton of texture to it and you don't have to eat a ton of it to fill up. It is made up of OATS, LONG GRAIN BROWN RICE, RYE, HARD RED WINTER WHEAT, TRITICALE, BUCKWHEAT, BARLEY, SESAME SEEDS. I also like to have it for breakfast with dried fruit and nuts... hmm.. now that is an idea for tomorrow. Yum! Off to pick up the kids at school. related searches : Veggie
