What?s For Dinner?s Favorite Things (GIVEAWAY POST!)
After an overwhelming “hell yes!” reaction when I asked if you, my readers, wanted to see a “favorite things” post, I figured, what the heck, I’ll go for it. I’m not going to give away a car, cuckoo clock, or twin bed set, but I will be giving away a $75 CSN Stores gift certificate just in time for holiday shopping! Since Hanukkah comes early this year with the first night being on December 1, I’ve been thinking about gifts for a while now… **Please note, none of the companies or products below have compensated me in any way to recommend their products, nor have they sent me any of the products to try. These opinions are based on experience only** So, without any further adieu, my favorite things for the foodie in your life.
Vosges Chocolates. They’re from Chicago, and they’re exotic, yet approachable, and absolutely delicious! There are literally dozens of options for the chocoholic in your life, and among them the infamous bacon chocolate bar.
TCHO-a-Day Chocolate samplers. I visited this chocolate shop in San Francisco and was amazed at the quality of the chocolate. Each color is from a different country and has a different flavor profile. Amazing!
The Pig Next Door’s Traditional bacon of the month club. My sister and her boyfriend got this for Adam and I last year, and it was so much fun trying all the different varieties. There are varying lengths of subscriptions available.
For the coffee drinker with a single-cup coffee maker, Big Cat Coffees offers a customizable 25-pack of K-Cups with 5 coffees of your choice for a very reasonable cost.
Canon Eos Rebel XSi. This is the camera that I take all of my photos with, and I love it more than I could ever imagine. Any of the Canon products are highly recommended, but this is the one that I love! I also have the Canon EF 50mm f1.8 II lens for it as well.
Collapsible measuring cups have saved so much space in our kitchen drawer! They flatten down to almost nothing for easy storage, and the 1 cup measure collapses by half to be an easy half-cup measure.
The Yankee Candle MacIntosh scent is among my favorites because it smells simply of apple and not of apple and spice. It’s fresh and fruity without being overwhelming… I could go somewhere else with that statement, but I won’t.
I’m newly in love with the Sutton Gourmet Paper cupcake wrappers. They keep their cute designs and don’t fade or grease-through when baked in, even with a rich chocolate cake inside!
Tastes of Chicago sends famous Chicago treats all over the country, including Lou Malnati’s pizzas (which are, in my opinion, the BEST out there). There are very reasonable packages for the pizza-lover in your life!
The Lynfred Winery is located, oddly enough, right here in Chicago, but they have some of the most delicious wines! They offer a wine-of-the-month club that is not only affordable, but worth every penny.
