When Fast Food are Slow
It's been quite some time since I actually had pizza, even though it's just a phone call away. I have bugged my god sister to make me a homemade, thin crust pizza. I prefer eating thin crust cause I get to eat more of the filling. And yes, she kneads the pizza dough. It's not so hard after all, but ofcourse, she's alot better than me. She hardly needs the recipe. All she did was sense. Don't ask me, cause I'm completely clueless about how a pizza dough should be like but as she had been doing so much of baking before it's all by experience. A pinch of this, a handful of that, half a bowl of these and she's done! Just like MAGIC. Thin Crust Pizza Dough (makes 6 large pizzas) 300ml water 1tbsp instant dry yeast 90g butter 500g bread flour Method: Rub cold butter in flour until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add in water little by little and knead until the dough is not sticky but smooth. If dough is sticky, add a little flour. If dough is dry, add some water. Proof the dough for half an hour or until it is double in size. Divide the dough into 6 portions and press it on flat ovenproof pans. Prick holes on the pizza dough with a fork. Half bake pizza at 220C for 10-15min or till lightly browned. Add in desired filling and bake for 10min or until cooked. My god sister have prepared 3 different fillings. She made one of hawaiian pizza, one of mushroom and another of seafood. They were really good. Well, if you have no idea what to put in your pizza, try this. Hawaiian Pizza : Fresh Mushrooms (sliced), Chicken breast (diced), Pineapple cubes, Fresh Tomato (sliced), Tomato Puree (store bought or homemade), Bacon (sliced) Italian Style Pizza : Fresh Mushrooms (sliced), Bell Pepper (sliced), Chicken Breast (diced), Tomato Puree, BBQ sauce, Basil Leaves Seafood Pizza : Tuna (can), Mayonnaise/Thousand Island, Crabstick, Pineapple cubes Don't ever forget the low-fat mozerella! Pizza could never go without Cheese! And how could we forget garlic bread? We homemade this too! (not the bread, the garlic butter) If you have extra time, ofcourse homemade bread would be best.![]() Garlic Butter Recipe Any bread of choice 8-10 cloves of garlic, chopped, pounded 1/2 cup of butter chopped parsley italian mixed spice Mix all ingredients. ![]()
