When we first met.

By Bitter Sweet Flavours (Visit website)

Nomatter how busy I am, I had to make time for this post. All ten of us had gone through writing and replying numerous emails as we come to an agreement, giving this day a priority and make ourselves available for the meeting. I'm sure many of you had problem putting away children to the babysitters and some traveled all the way to MidValley as we settled down at Madan Kwan and got to know each other.

When we reached, there were some familiar faces and yet we're not sure if we're right about each other. Most of us just popped up to ask 'is this the bloggers meeting?' or 'are you ...'
It didn't matter. I definitely enjoyed the crowd of eleven. It seem pretty impossible to know who is who and which their blogs were but after an hour or so, they just eventually seem logical to be matched with.

I had to admit that I was a little nervous being the youngest one there as everyone played the guessing game. I couldn't guess who was who and I was kind of afraid that I would have gotten the wrong person. It was so sweet of Joslynn, handing us a pretty flower as we all held on to the entire time till we sat down at the restaurant. It felt like we were on tour following our tour guide, Quinn as we marched towards Madam Kwan.

Our conversations were of anything under the sun. I am overjoyed and touched as Elin and Gertrude were willing to teach me as I asked. I hope you wouldn't mind as I have not had much experience cooking and baking. How can I convince the community that not all people from the internet are bad and in fact, they were very nice people. Words just couldn't describe my overwhelming joy meeting them in person. They were all my teachers as I'm very grateful that they shared their knowledge with me.
There was one thing we all had in common. Most of us are not very fussy of what's on the table as we were only to achieve baking and cooking without food additives and enjoy all our homemade delicacies, presenting them to our loved ones, praying that they would like it. Also, not forgetting that we don't dig in as soon as the food comes. We're like food paparazzi. I guess we all understood each other.

Thankyou so much Elin, for the trouble bringing the very cute egg moulds all the way from Ipoh and also to Sonia for the Bak Kut Teh from Klang. Owh how I wish I could hug the cute moulds to sleep and mum was very happy to see the packets of Bak Kut Teh! Thanks for being the one to take the pictures, Joanna! It was very nice meeting you :)

I didn't take any photos as they were too many cameras around, though I hope it's okay to receive them if any of you could send me so I could remember this day. I would like to thank everyone (especially to our organizer, Quinn) for letting me be a part of this meeting.

These lovely ladies include; Elin and her daughter Joanna, Quinn, Joslynn (Petite Nyonya), Reese, Bee Bee, Swee San, Sonia, Gertrude and Pei-Lin.

ps:
Is this the one Sonia was talking about? I am looking for the recipe for these, googled it and found out it's called Tamago Boro, which I have no idea what it means. I usually buy them from the market and they call it Shu Fan Beng (Potato Flour Biscuits in direct translation). I've been looking for the recipe. Hopefully it's the one Sonia's talking about :P
